Framing — time

January 27, 2011

Part of framing and providing a place for something to happen is a definite start point and end point. I used to think “derives” were silly because all of life could be a derive. But in the sense that most people want to be of the world, derives, jaunts of fantasy, must have some sort of a goal to make sense. I am in love with the snow right now and enjoy very much my 25 minute walk to the subway, but to walk aimlessly further kills the fantasy and the joy. Time frames. End points. Narratives.
