Design Methods

July 5, 2012

A friend of mine once said, “The jobs we will be doing don’t yet have a name for them yet — we are going to invent them.”

Perhaps a bit hyperbolic, but I think it’s even more true for solving design problems. It is only at the end that we will know the correct methodology. Like the joke goes, the thing you’ve lost always turns up in the last place you look.

It’s hard to remember while you’re in the middle of it. But so very very crucial, not to lose one’s sanity!
